Sustainability/Energy Engineer- Mid West Region – (Limerick)

Salary: c. €35 000- €45 000

Terms: Initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Qualifications: Ideally Level 8 Electrical/Mechanical/Civil-Structural Engineering with Further Qualifications in Energy/Sustainability.

Experience: Experience in Design and in similar projects an advantage. Previous experience in Project Management a Plus.

Outline of Role:

Our Client is a provides and maintains a substantial number of Medical Facilities throughout the Mid-West Region. As such, they are responsible for the building of new facilities and changes to existing facilities.

They are currently seeking a Sustainability/Energy Engineer in order to :

  • Analyse energy consumption within current facilities.
  • In line with current Government directives to formulate methods of energy saving

and reduce carbon emissions.

  • Engage with current staff on energy saving initiatives to come up with the best strategies for each site going forward.
  • Estimating Capital required for changes leading to greater sustainability.
  • Apply for relevant funding from such organisations as SEAI for changes.
  • Interface with Senior staff to implement changes.  
  • Project Management of works.
